Concrete Infrastructure and Pedestrian Improvements
Our concrete infrastructure work connects roads with the places people walk. V&H Construction builds sidewalks, curb and gutter, and pedestrian improvements for civil projects. We’re based in Lehigh Acres, with inquiries welcomed across eight Southwest Florida markets, including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, and Port Charlotte.
Call (239) 841-6400 or invite V&H to bid to introduce your concrete package.
STA 1+00 · SCOPE
Concrete Infrastructure Scope
Plan view / name the element and its limits. A replacement section and a new route describe differently.
Concrete work is easier to discuss when the request names the element being built and its limits. A replacement section, a new pedestrian route, and curb work along a road each need their own description.
01
Sidewalks
Identify the new or replacement sections and where they meet existing walking surfaces.
02
Curb and gutter
Share the proposed layout, relevant details, and connections to pavement and drainage.
03
Pedestrian improvements
Include crossings, transitions, and other features shown in the construction documents.
The details in the plans define dimensions, materials, finishes, and other requirements. Include those sheets with your inquiry so the conversation is about the specified work.

Connections Matter
A concrete package often sits beside another part of an infrastructure project. Sidewalks meet driveways and crossings. Curbs run alongside pavement and drainage features. Existing surfaces can require removal or restoration around the new work.
Show those connections in the information you send. If you’re also discussing roadway improvements or stormwater construction, identify the related packages. It helps to distinguish work included in the concrete scope from work handled elsewhere.

Describe the Finished Work You Need
Include the locations and quantities available in the documents, along with the specified details. Where the plans address pedestrian access or accessibility improvements, send those details as part of the package.
A general request for “ADA work” doesn’t define the construction on its own. Identify the features and design requirements shown by the project team. This keeps the discussion tied to the actual scope rather than a broad compliance label.

STA 4+00 · QUESTIONS
Concrete Project Questions
01 What should I send for a sidewalk construction inquiry? −
Provide the location, section limits, drawings, and specifications. Identify removal work and connections to existing surfaces, and include the bid due date.
02 Can curb and gutter be discussed with drainage improvements? +
Yes. Share the relevant details from both parts of the project and identify how the work packages connect. The invitation should make the requested responsibilities clear.
03 What influences the price of pedestrian concrete work? +
Quantities, specified details, removal and restoration, site access, and the arrangement of separate work areas shape the package. A square-foot figure alone won’t describe every item that belongs in a project-specific price.
04 When should the concrete work be scheduled? +
Provide the planned construction sequence and the milestones supplied by your project team. The timing discussion needs to account for adjoining work and the scope actually being proposed.
05 Do these services cover decorative patios or residential driveways? +
The focus is pedestrian facilities and roadside concrete, including curbs and walkways. Use those categories to identify whether your planned work matches the service described.
